Logging in to Webmail
Accessing the Login Page
To access your webmail, open your browser and navigate to your domain’s webmail URL. This typically follows the format:

On the SmarterMail login page:
- Enter your username (your email address or account username)
- Enter your password
- Click the Login button
First-Time Setup
When you log in for the first time, you’ll need to configure some basic settings:
Theme
Choose your preferred display mode:
- Light - Standard white background
- Dark - Dark mode for reduced eye strain
Time Zone
Select your timezone. This is often pre-configured by your administrator, but you can adjust it if needed. This affects how your calendar and email timestamps are displayed.
Country
Select your location/country from the dropdown menu.
Recovery Email
Provide a backup email address for:
- Password reset requests
- Two-factor authentication codes
- Security recovery options
Optional: Enable Browser Notifications
SmarterMail can send browser notifications for:
- New email alerts
- Calendar reminders
- Chat notifications
Enable this during setup or configure it later in your settings preferences.
Staying Logged In
To remain logged in after closing your browser, check the “Remember Me” option on the login page. This securely encrypts your credentials for automatic login on your next visit.
Important:
- Browser cookies must be enabled for “Remember Me” to work
- Avoid using this option on shared or public devices
- The session will expire after a period of inactivity for security
Troubleshooting
If you have trouble logging in:
- Verify your username and password are correct (check for caps lock)
- Ensure browser cookies are enabled
- Clear your browser cache and try again
- Contact your IT administrator if you’ve forgotten your password
